As a member of the firm’s CEO & Board Practice, Jean-Michel conducts engagements for global institutions, focusing on CEO, senior management and board of directors assignments. He has assisted clients in strategically structuring boards, working with them to add specific expertise and in building an entire board. He has also helped clients with a number of prestigious CEO appointments.
Jean-Michel is regarded as a pioneer in executive search in France. After establishing Spencer Stuart’s Paris office, he assumed organizational leadership roles, as Group Chairman and CEO. Later joining Korn/Ferry International, he served as Chairman of its International Executive Committee. Most recently, Jean-Michel founded and led his own firm, JM Beigbeder & Partners – CEO Search. Previously, he served as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Alphamed, a private health organization which has since merged with Générale de Santé.
After completing undergraduate studies in Paris and at Amherst College, Jean-Michel earned several post-graduate degrees: a Master’s degree and Laureat from the Faculté de droit de Paris, a Master’s degree from the Paris Institut d’Etudes Politiques, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. During this time, he was a Teaching Fellow in French Literature at Harvard University. He is based in the firm’s Paris office.
