Wes Richards is a Partner and member of the Executive Committee of CTPartners, a premier executive search firm committed to performance, quality and results. A seasoned consultant and former industry executive, Wes recruits strategic, innovative leaders capitalizing on challenges.
As Head of the firm’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications Practice, Wes serves a broad spectrum of technology clients ranging from emerging to global leaders. He has successfully completed assignments for C-suite, general management, board of directors and senior roles responsible for major initiatives. He has worked with clients in structuring global leadership and recruiting teams needed to execute strategic expansions and product launches.
Wes’s previous search affiliations include Korn/Ferry International and Heidrick & Struggles. During his tenure with Heidrick & Struggles, he maintained a full search practice while holding significant leadership positions: senior managing partner of leadership services and Global Operating Committee member. Wes combined his management and search expertise to found and lead a regional firm specializing in the technology industry.
A respected former technology executive, Wes was president of MicroAge Enterprises, a division of a $4 billion technology distributor and reseller. Earlier he served as vice president and general manager of Ashton Tate’s UCAN Division and as senior vice president of marketing and sales for Software Publishing. Wes entered the technology industry with IBM, where he held roles of increasing responsibility culminating as central area manager.
Wes is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University. He is based in the firm’s Redwood Shores office.
