Debra Germaine is a Managing Partner with CTPartners, a premier executive search firm committed to performance, quality and results.  Debra identifies high caliber leadership talent compatible with client’s specific environments and driven to meet challenges.

As a member of the firm’s Technology, Media and Telecom Practice, Debra serves clients ranging from emerging growth companies to the world’s premier public technology corporations.  She assists clients primarily in the software and hardware industries.  She also works with companies across industries whose strategic operations depend on sophisticated technologies and applications.  Debra has completed global assignments for CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CIOs, presidents, members of the board of directors and functional vice presidents.      

Debra also works extensively with private equity clients in San Francisco, New York and Boston.  Her track record includes a focus on C-level assignments for firms and recruiting Operating Executives directly to her private equity clients for use across their various portfolio companies.  

Since entering executive search, Debra has been a Managing Partner of the Information Technology Practice of a firm based in New York and Senior Managing Partner and Director of Fenwick Partners.  Most recently, she was with Heidrick & Struggles, a result of the merger with Fenwick Partners.  In 2008, Debra was named to BusinessWeek's list of the World’s Most Influential Headhunters.

Debra developed a first-hand understanding of the industry’s talent requirements while with Digital Equipment Corporation.  She created and headed the corporate in-house executive search practice. Her responsibilities also included leading the Worldwide Resource and Information Systems Operations for the company’s Advanced Technology, Semiconductor, and Desktop divisions.

Debra is active in several professional and non-profit organizations including the Dana Farber/Jimmy Fund Top 400 Club, the Massachusetts Software Council, and Women in Technology International.  She was profiled as a leading search consultant in “The Career Makers:  North America’s Top Executive Recruiters,” published by HarperCollins Publishers, Inc.  Debra splits her time between the firm’s Boston and Silicon Valley offices.
